Sorry guyz. :( Calling full hiatus for now. Gonna be a game design mentor for a week at this summer job o' mine and I think I'll be pretty tied up for the next three. Gonna be away from RPing till the end of August, although I may be able to finish the long-standing date thread with Yorda and Urd. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up new threads after that!

Lara has officially disappeared from the city to get her canon update. She will be gone for the rest of the in-game week. ♥

Extended hiatus only affects Lara. My other characters are still very much in play.

I'm coming back with Sara Sidle only, because I need to hold off on bringing Donna back into the game until I can watch Series 4. (Anyone up for a Doctor Who watching fest?) I really need to refresh her canon, so she's hanging back in the wings for just a bit longer.

Just to get everything covered clearly here, since there's been a LOT of questions this week. XD

What happened to the dome/sky?

It's just plain pitch black. It's dead. Nothing. No stars even. Yep.

What happened to the electricity?

It is also dead. No lights will turn on. ...which is about the extent of Paixao electricity. It is a simple thing. (No tv, etc.)

What about candles/lanterns?

Within a closed room, with the window covered or no window at all, they will light and stay lit. If any light is visable to the outside, it'll snuff out after a couple minutes. Take a candle outside, and it'll snuff after a couple minutes.

How is this affecting journals?

They work pretty much like a candle. Inside, away from windows, they work fine. Outside, they worked for few minutes then turn off.

HOWEVER: For next 3 days in game (That's 9 rl days) journals will be acting fuzzy all around thanks to Joshua. See Joshua's post for further details.

What happens to people/things that glow?

The city isn't just pitch black, it has a kinda magicy-mist. Anyone who's wandered about in fog will tell you how you can barely see things 10 feet in front of you? Same idea. Get into your personal space, yeah it's glowing, but further you move back, the less the glowing is visable to the point of you can't see it.

What is it like outside the domes?

It's just kinda gloomy out. Overcast and blah. Not perma-dark though.

How do the thorns cover the gates?

They don't cover the gate directly. Imagine a kinda.. extra dome attached to the gate. Just... a dome of thorns. :Db
