Week 11 – Plot Announcement!
Remember that light at the end of the tunnel? Well, congratulations! We’ve come to it! Or, to put it better, the light’s come to us. Courtesy of a bit of counter-magic put into the hands of Sora, the thorns have been cut away and Maleficent’s spell had begun to recede from there. The spell needs one last push, however, to collapse completely, and it’s going to get that.
Lumens. Many don’t know much about the Lumens, hm? What is known is their essence of light, and that from the flood of darkness, the Lumens vacated the city into the fields. They’ve had enough, as it were, and have chosen now to finally return, lead by a form that no one has ever seen before.
A phoenix. Massive, glistening white, accented by gold and translucent blue. This creature, this Lumen, comes through Niflheim Gate, preceding many groups of the common Lumen species. Their focus is the Heartless and the darkness accompanying them, and the phoenix will not acknowledge anything else; however, if provoked, the common Lumens will flare up and engage others.
Every corner of the city is touched; these Lumens circle around the edges of the city from Niflheim Gate moving counterclockwise before centering on City Hall; anyone who catches sight of the phoenix will realize that its wings are trailing a silvery dust which eats away the darkness spell.
Paixaoan citizens take the chance to step outside to watch the phoenix pass, staring wondrously amazed as anyone.
Finally, any nearby, ‘lucky’ onlookers may notice the phoenix raise itself higher off the ground once it reaches City Hall, and receive a scornful look from both Maleficent and Hades, but the villains disappear and leave the creature be.
It’s alright, everyone, you can leave the safety of your homes again. The only thing still not right with the city is the top of the domes themselves - they remain blackened for about a day before Paixao's usual 'sky' flickers back in place.
OOC
After the spell is completely banished, the common Lumens will sort of thin out amongst the city again; they may be a bit more easily set off than before, but for the most part they won’t attack anyone unless they’re attacked first. The phoenix will hang around for awhile, mostly flying around at the tops of the domes, as if it was scouting for anything disturbing to come up again. It will fight if a big group of people engage it, but if it’s only one or two people, it’ll just brush them off.
Questions? Ask away!
