How to get icons back into your old posts!
Hey guys! I learned something today, and now I am going to share it with you all! :D
When we imported the comms OpenIDs were created for all the old posts, but obviously, that killed all icons.
You can get 15 of them back! And here's how.
Step 1. Login to your character's journal on livejournal.
Step 2. Go to: http://www.dreamwidth.org/openid/ and login using this: ljusername.livejournal.com
Step 3. It'll ask you to confirm your email... I skipped that for now, but you can if you want. The real step three is going to the pulldown at the top "Create" and selecting upload icons.
Step 4. Upload your characters icons, using the same keywords as you have on LJ! (You can do this even using the URL option and copy-pasta-ing your userpic from LJ.) If you have more than 15 on LJ... not much you can do, but I'd suggest setting a fairly neutral, could stand in for any emotion, icon as the default.
And voila! ICONS on your old comm posts!
Now I just have to figure out something for our layouts to not stretch the icon/username box...
