The Week in Review

At last the fog that has been choking the streets of Paixao has dissipated, though many already had broken out of it through sheer will and the unbreakable connections of their friends and loved ones. Further beyond the floors of Castle Oblivion, the outsiders continued their way through the floor resembling Spira, some discovering clues - but will they know what to do with them? Others simply enjoyed Paixao as a new place to create bonds, spreading out across the full city in a wild game of tag.

Gah, a day late. Sorry about that folks. A pointed out, the fog-plot is officially done. Characters that were under the influence have either broken it themselves or received the cure that Team Science whipped together, and the fog itself has finally dissipated.

We would still love opinions from anyone here concerning overall plot function of the game. Spira logs have been progressing, but we're still really hoping to see characters arrive in Zanarkand before the next week change. You can find the Spira Primer here.

If you have any questions just ask us! We only bite and/or maim each other on the mod team. Hayley is the go-to mod in regards to Spira and moving through Zanarkand, but the rest of us still can offer help, or whatever anyone may need. Any venue, whether it be IM, LJ message, email... we're here for you guys.

Phew! That was a lot of html. So, you all may or may not be aware that we do the tags in the sidebar manually, because otherwise that cloud would have characters from four years ago that aren't here anymore and it'd be a pain. Yes, we could delete all those tags, but you never know how useful something is til it's gone (and trust me when I say a lot of us have needed those old, old tags).

There has to be errors. There has to be. We catch things every now and then but even combing through it we still miss things, so if you happen to catch anything, again, please comment. Plot Announcements

So, Mr. Vague Praetoris has been vague, but the 'efforts' of him and his staff are now showing throughout the city. On the doors of the various Paixao businesses, you will find signs firmly adhered, with the words:


NO SERVICE TO THOSE OF LOW MORALITY
INAPPROPRIATE DRESS IS DISALLOWED

The 'inappropriate dress' is the easiest interpretable part, though sucks, because they're strict. Yes. The natives of Paixao are refusing business to those who are showing what they consider a fair amount of skin (and to them, women who are even showing their ankles are considered having low morality).

However, there are exceptions to this. The natives of the Vanaheim area aren't doing well with abiding to this. Their signs are painted over or torn down as best as they can be. Specifically, this encompasses: Carta Para Ti, Carta Para Ti Orphanages, Iriela Apartments (I and II, as both are gypsy owned, location aside), The Cheap Prayer, The Glass Bonsai, Lady of Lords Soup Kitchen, Haja o Que Houver, Actua Are (F3 only), Aiches Memorial Hospital, and Cafe Ersesat (H4 and F6 only).

Foreigner-owned businesses have signs on their doors as well. While the natives have been spoken to about the change, Praetoris' staff avoided such discussions. You folks will have to get rid of your own signs, if you desire it. The gypsies will happily let you borrow their paint or draw funny faces on them for free.

...in addition to these changes, those who frequent the gates (or new arrivals) will notice that at each gate there is a portrait of your new prissy asshole mayor hung above the counters.

...Vanaheim's is covered in graffiti.

*yawn* Spish here. I've begun to overhaul the wiki. Things like 'other worlds', 'beastiary' (though the lumen page likely has to be read over, as it was just c/p from the extensive info lolol), and 'current events' have been edited. A 'Travel' page was added in the other worlds category which was basically just putting the pictures Jen so handily sketched out for us into a place we'll be able to find more easily again for reference.

I finally figured for the history category we can divide it by weeks, and everything else before the week system will go on its own page. If you feel like doing busy work, updating the history per week would be very helpful.

Is there any sort of page you guys would like to see? Anything to have in a handy place? IDK. I'd like to make it more handy to folk in whatever way possible. *shrug* So any suggestions are welcome!

There's probably something else, but I have not slept yet, and so I am going to bed.

Oh, and also, one more thing. As you've probably been able to tell, Rosemary officially announced the campaigning for mayor as a go. Elections will be held at the beginning of week 21. In order to run for mayor and to vote, characters must have a certificate of citizenship, given to players after their characters' form has been filled out (linked on Rosemary's recent MB post).

Although I personally would find it kind of amusing if a character tried to forge it. I don't know who would, but. Lolz.

Reply with your character name, their journal, a link to their latest post, and the date of that post.

Then, to make it easy, just copy and paste a URL to some first person activity and note the date. (Livejournal will automatically make it a link.)

For example:

As promised, Paixao is beginning to finally open its arms to their mountain of guests and properly accept them, offering citizenship. Which really doesn't give people much other than the ability to run for mayor, have voting rights, ...and cost of living goes down |D The latter being nice really only to the folk who are living in richer parts of the city, but still, it's shiny stuff. I mean really. BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT.

There will be an MB post here announcing the office opened, followed by a post on the RP comm here to go through the process. It'll likely be very of a deal unless you're someone who's a brat like Timon :D You do not have to post to the RP thread, but you do need to fill out the form regardless.

There is a link on the RP thread (or will be once I post it) that leads to a google doc form. This is the form in question. Fill this out and we will - quite literally - get back to you with a certificate for your character :D

Week Change - Week 18

The Week in Review

After the discovery of the newest world, a surge of newcomers have filed into Paixao's gates, some decidedly good, others... quite evil, to say the least (you know who you are). Shady deals and unlikely meetings are abound as another outing into Halloween/Christmas Town is planned.

Pretty quiet this week, sorry 'bout that folks! The Halloween/Christmas town information is still back on the previous change's thread, especially for our newer folk who may be curious.

There are also elves hard at work around Christmas Town, who may or may not coerce people into helping them.
