A plot-type notey thing
I've noticed a bit of a plot hole...
I see a lot of characters mentioning knowing of "Organization XIII" now... right? Well, technically, that isn't correct. XD Roxas is gone, and Axel left-- so there's no longer thirteen members. If you heard it from Axel, I know for sure that he definitely only refers to it as "The Organization", never with a thirteen. So plz 2 b watching that? Thanks! XD
Which reminds me I should probably fix the banner thingie for them in extensive info because of that... o_O

anyhow, I imagine that will smooth itself out.. very quickly~

It's like magically knowing someone's last name that you met in game. It makes no sense.

but either way, like I said, it shouldn't matter on in-game monday for the characters who were in the chats. 'cause.. hell, now they should know every members name and stuff like that, lol. it'll fix itself.

I changed it just to "Organization".

I noticed that as well, actually. It's all "*twitch..twitch...*"

What is Wikipedia for?!Ed has her ways. 8D

I do, however, believe that there are enough "slip-ups" on the message boards and Organization journals for Ed to get a general idea. This is of course, provided she has motivation. And she won't necessarily use her findings.
And if I understand you correctly, "intentionally made hackable" journal entries would be pointless. The journals are "solid devices," and thus, Ed would be able to gain access.
Skill!Meaning: Nothing except for in-game would [or will?] be safe from Ed.

Intentionally hackable entries are quite plausible. :P I know for one Axel would make a "private" entry to make the people who he knows would try to get to it curious and allow them to do so just to be an ass.. for... some reason because he would do that. D:
Either way, as long as a journal says "hackable" it's free game. Otherwise no. But I'm sure you know that. :3

Ed can hack journal entries even if it is not specified as "hackable."
Based on her character, this "limitation" would not apply to her. Notice how Ed (for example) easily gains access to a satellite in one of the Cowboy Bebop episodes.
Therefore, Ed would have access to all entires.

It also stated in the extensive info if your character is extremely powerful, you'll have to tone them down a bit. Secondly, Paixao probably has extremely different workings in their system, things Ed probably has never seen before. I imagine it wouldn't be like Cowboy Bebop-esque computers anyway.

If not for the restrictions, Ed could. And regardless of Paixao's workings.
And yes, there is of course, no "Godplaying." But I would still argue that Sephiroth couldn't destroy Paixao---too many "heroes" in the place. And Ed's hacking of all entries would not be threatening to Paixao. Just because she would know, she wouldn't necessarily do anything about it. She might tell someone, but that would be interesting plot development!
I wouldn't regard Ed's hacking abilites as powerful, necessarily. She's too innocent. "WHEEE ED KNOWS ALL YOUR SECRETS HEHEHEHE," sort of thing.
