Um, it was brought to my attention yesterday, by Ansem-mun, that we (at least Dias, Al, and Yuna) are waaaaaay behind everyone else in terms of timeline. As in, we need to figure out a way to shoot our characters several days ahead. I was thinking that they could decide it's getting too late to wait for the train, find the nearest hotel, and spend a couple days there poking at their journals and getting to know each other a bit better? (No, not like that.) Then we can just bring them back to the train station once they're at the same general time as everyone else.

Also, Ansem has contacted Dias and wants him to show up at the Muspelheim gate sometime between early Tuesday (I think? Correct me if I have the wrong day, Ansem-mun) morning and Tuesday night. Dias is going to ask his group, however many people it consists of, to make a detour in that direction at some point - since it sounds like we all may be heading out of the city in any case, that'd work out well enough. Of course, it means Dias is unwittingly going to be leading all of you directly to Ansem...

I am NOT going to post to the thread we're all in until we figure this out, since we may want to sum that one up and start a new one a couple days forward in the timeline.

Okay, so we've got everything worked out! Just so everyone's clear, Dias is going to refuse to get on the train when it arrives and refuse to be persuaded, necessitating his group resting in the nearest hotel for a few days (where Lady and Allen can meet up again) until everyone eventually cajoles him into taking the train ride. (I'm assuming we'll just sum all this up between the end of our current thread and the start of the next thread.) After that, we'll proceed as planned, with Dias' group meeting up with Goku's and then all of them heading out of the city, probably through Muspelheim where Dias is scheduled to meet with Ansem sometime before nightfall on Tuesday.

I think, since this is sort of... well, beyond repair now, that we maybe all agree on what happened in a few days time between Al, Dias, Yuna, and whoever and maybe post a summary, if that's okay with the mods of course. We are really behind, so maybe just saying they hung and got to know one another and their situations abit better would be a good idea.

Also, are we still meeting up with Goku, Sasuke, Tidus, and their party as planned? If so, we could rocket forward to that or just to the Ansem thread thing if that's off. I mean, I'd still really like to do that since we planned on it... (Ansem and his Darkness should be warned! Yuna has HOLY MAGIC. >()

However, about Allen... How should we handle him meeting up with the party now?

Well, here's what I was thinking could happen:

The train shows up. Dias, upon seeing this massive, utterly foreign thing, BALKS and refuses to get onboard despite Al and Yuna's cajoling(maybe Allen could help try to reassure Dias at this point), because he is utterly too suspicous. Eventually they give up and find the nearest inn within walking distance, Allen in tow perhaps, and spend a few days there while they slowly work Dias around to the idea of actually setting foot on the train, that bringing us up to present date. After which we could simply continue as planned, with them boarding the train, meeting up with Goku and Co., and then heading for the Muspelheim gate.

Sound feasible?

Twofold reasons: one, Dias wants to meet Ansem, but he isn't going to just ditch Al - or the rest of the group they've acquired - so they're coming with. And since the group is going to decide to leave the city anyway, one gate to leave by is as good as any other, right?

Actually, it might make things easier on Ansem, since Dias is going to be bringing Lady (whom I know is slated to be snatched) right to him.

Well, if Ansem wanted to talk to Dias inside the fortress, Dias would probably ask the rest of the group to wait outside for him(I don't know whether they'd agree to that, but that's what he'd ask).

Maybe we're "what if" projecting too far.

It's possible they may well decide to try to thwart Ansem at just the sight of the Fortress. Considering it looks like the epitome of Bastion of Evil, and the countryside around it for a mile and change looks more like the 4th ring of Dante's Inferno than a nice forest by now.

I guess we'll see what happens and go from there.

Yeah, that works for me. Speaking for my own character, though, Dias wouldn't come to any foregone conclusions just based on the fortress and countryside - he'd just be far more suspicious after having to walk through the Graveyard Plains into yon Tower of Terror than if, say, Ansem had just approached him in a tavern.
