SOME CHATROOM RULES

While I think of it, and I've been meaning to do this for a while, here are some rules for participating in Paixao chat...

Firstly, as a few of you know, there is a chat on AIM daily that we all congregate in. It is called paixaoooc, and it's open to anyone. Most of the people get invited once they sign online, but 1. not everyone is on my buddy list, 2. I am not always online, 3. I might be AFK when someone signs on and 4. I am basically assuming based on chatroom behavior who and who does not appreciate being invited all the time.

So yeah. Feel free to leave me your screen name here if you wish to be invited regularly and you don't, or let me know to STOP inviting you, orrr... feel free to invite yourself, because the chat generally runs in the afternoon up until like, I wanna say at least 2am.

Anyways, as our chat becomes more popular, rules need to happen. We've mentioned them here and there but it still seems to be apparent.

1. Do not talk about other RPGs too much when you are in the chat for PAIXAO. Some people get annoyed with that - we're here to talk about Paixao after all! Er, some times.

2. Do NOT idle in the chatroom overnight. Some people sit in the chat ALL DAMN NIGHT and this does not give it a chance to reset. When the chat can't reset, links become broken and that is like the most annoying thing ever. D:

3. A new rule, do not start any sort of OOC drama in the chat. I'm a culprit myself, but I think it'd be all good if we avoided this... this means no making snide comments, veiled/indirect insults, or starting an argument in front of everyone. If you have problems, take it to IMs.

4. Another new one! If the chat becomes uncomfortable for you, LEAVE or MINIMIZE it. We have no control over what people want to discuss in there, and when you came to Paixao you already agreed you were mature enough to deal with some subjects which are kind of out there. But it is YOUR responsibility, if YOU feel uncomfortable to remove yourself - people aren't going to steer their convo just to please you. Okay?

I don't think I've been to this chat room: I don't really have a Raiden screenname, but I have an extra one called FUTURE DEMISE from another old RP. I guess I don't mind using that for Raiden's OOC one for any RP discussion.

sitting in the chat all night doesn't really affect the resetting. the whole system just resets whenever it wants to or something like that, I'm guessing. 'cause I've come in the chat plenty of times when nobody was in there and hadn't been in there for quite a while, yet the links were still broken..

I think it actually takes more than just a day, and when someone randomly pops in it kind of screws it all up again.

I know I'm one of those psychos that invites myself. ^_^ Then again, with my AIM randomly crashing, it's just easier. If you ever feel like inviting me, though, I've been on hyoukaikagami more often than not. Yes, I know it's abuse of Haku's SN, but I like it a little too much to let go.
