Noob question D:

Um, when does one need to enlist someone to RP an NPC? I mean, there are some situations that are obvious - Ansem, the Superior, Disney villains, etc. But most people seem to just write NPCs into their posts (which is what I'd rather do anyway). So when does the NPC become major enough that you have to use the NPC account?

It's not a pressing question - I was just was wondering.

I usually get an NPC if it will play a big role like a shopkeeper my character will bargain with or the owner of an inn I'm having a discussion with. If I'm simply buying something and going my way, I'll just write them into my post :)

Hope that helped!

The situation varies from person-to-person and situation-to-situation. I do a little of both, depending on where my characters are and what their needs are--sometimes it's good to have another set of eyes that aren't your own so you don't over-do it. ^^

If it's an established character (like the ones you listed above and others) or these citizens and lumens (http://community.livejournal.com/paixaoooc/163737.html), I would probably suggest an NPC-player depending on the scenario, simply because these are our current "definites" of the Paixao cast.

If it's in passing or interaction that has little to do with the major plot, my view is that the NPC player isn't as necessary and you can write it in.

There are a few that require [livejournal.com profile] paixaonpcs to be on set. The villains and superior, Dr Nick Riviera at Aiches Memorial, Cid at Cid's Shop, Mario and Luigi if you're at Folios Weaponry.

The citizens on the registry it depends on who you're with...but for the most part it would probably be good to have the NPC account there mostly out of logistics. Other citizens, it's kind of a touch-and-go sort of thing.

And I only remember all this stuff because I'm an NPC player. ^^ The registry is a bit out-of-date and incomplete though. ^^
