Unfortunately, I have a rather unhappy announcement for you all: this will be the last use of the "mod post by hayley" tag. I've been feeling a lot of mental and emotional stress this past year and though I had hoped to last until the game's end, I think it might be time for me to step down as one of Paixao's mods.

However, I still intend to stay in the game and currently have no intentions of dropping any of my characters just yet.

Let's ride the rest of this wild ride together.

P.S: I'm not giving you all any spoilers, so don't try and pry 'em out of me. :P

Within the castle, a door opens, no longer able to hold back what lay within. The floor beyond can only be called a patchwork world at best, a monstrosity stitched together from countless memories that shifts and flows haphazardly from one area to the next. No matter where you go, hastily cobbled bits of land surround, some parts familiar while others foreign. Even then, that which is familiar doesn’t stay familiar for long, and the scenery can change vastly in only a few steps. Along with finding the next door, another question will soon come to mind: Where did you come in?

Meanwhile, the castle’s memories begin to creep. It seems the worlds can no longer be contained to one floor.

ACTIVITY CHECK

We're onto our second activity check with the new rules. Here is the post with the full details if you need a refresher.

The short version is that we need an example of recent activity in the paixaorpg community. Activity considered recent is between the 16th of the last month and the 15th of this month. We're more concerned with the comment date than the log date, so don't worry if you're in the midst of a backtagging frenzy.

We have some people this time around who are required to show double activity. That means, in addition to a recent comment in the logs community, they must show EITHER another comment in the logs community OR two examples of first-person activity (posts/comments to the mb, journal post/comments, AIM logs, etc.). Please note that if you are in this category and do not reply to the AC you will be removed from the game, regardless of your current activity.

Hey guys. Mods here with an important announcement.

While all of us have been busy for the past month, rest assured we have been thinking long and hard about your feedback. After deliberation, we have decided that the best thing we can do for the game right now is to cut the remaining floors down to two. In other words, there will be one more floor after Wonderland, and then we will begin endgame. In addition, if we have not proceeded to the next floor by August 1, we will handwave the opening of the door and open up the next world, which will be very plot heavy.

The truth of the matter is that while we'd like to drop the information piecemeal to you guys until the 12th/13th floor, we're kind of out of non-endgame information, as most of our twists and turns were revealed a bit differently than we had originally intended (gotta love hindsight).

But! Don't think that endgame is busting the doors open to kidnap you all and steal your hearts just yet. There will still be time, and we won't be starting the final floor until after KH3D is out and people have had some time to play it. There's still one more floor in-between and you should have plenty of time to run any player plots you might want hell, we're expecting to at least reach our b-day in January before we completely end.

In addition, we are finalizing the provisions for the new Activity Check and hope to put it into practice when the next one comes around on Friday. Please keep an eye out on the comm for that announcement.

If you have any questions, please let us know (and please ask in this thread rather than plurk if you're comfortable, as that opens up more routes of discussion, particularly with players who are not heavy users of plurk).

Hey guys. I'm not going to lie to you... I've been super stressed lately. Maybe it's some combination of school/the clusterfuck that has been this year or whatever, but...I kind of need a slight break from things.

So I'm going to be doing a little bit of a reversal of what I normally do. I'm calling a 2 month hiatus from my mod duties. I was going to wait till May 1 to do this, but I'm going to need next week to study for the 4 tests in 4 days I have in addition to finishing a paper, and the stress involved with that has just brought me to the burnout stage that much quicker. I'll return to mod duties and stuff on July 1st, and I'll be sort of on-call for special occasions, but if you have any problems, please make sure to direct them to Spish, Jen, and/or Rue.

I will, however, be around as a player for the most part, though I'm calling a slowiatus until my finals are complete, as I don't know how much of a brain for tagging I'm going to have the next couple weeks.

I'm sorry to do this to you guys, but hopefully by July you'll have a much less stressed, much easier to deal with mod on your hands. x.x

Guys. I'm not going to lie, I'm not impressed here. There's no excuse for this happening two months in a row, especially given the fact we put out many more warnings about the AC than usual this month. Please remember, we're looking for the most recent comment in a log, and also make sure that you're properly tagging your logs so we don't miss any of your recent activity. Any character apped in the last week or so is exempt. As for the rest of you, we'd like to see some recent third-person activity (i.e. logs) from each of your characters and first-person (mb post, mb reply, journal post, journal reply, AIM log, etc.) from at least half of your characters, rounded up if you have an odd number (2/3, 3/5, 4/7...). The former is much more important than the latter to us, and replying at all is more important than that.

If you need to take a hiatus or are on hiatus, please make sure to post/that you have posted to our Hiatus Post.
