Since all but one moderator is on hiatus, this is putting applications through an even SLOWER process than before. So, while I am still away from the game, I've decided I'm going to look at applications still, and vote on them, to keep things being processed. Additionally, and this is only temporary, only two votes are required for an application to be accepted.

So once at least two moderators have voted and it is unanimous, an application can be accepted. This applies to all apps in the box right now and all those we will receive, until at least two moderators come back from hiatus.

Can everyone pleeeease, pretty please make sure they tag stuff correctly? I've given the ability to create and edit tags to every single member of the community, so you don't have to pester a moderator to make one for you. HOWEVER, with this freedom comes the responsibility of making sure you do stuff correctly. I've noticed several errors popping up lately, so let's clarify!

1. Always use your character's FULL name.
2. Always format your character's name the way it would be formatted where they came from! (Japanese surnames go first, etc.).
3. Do not use underscores (_) or quotes (" ") in your tags!
4. Do not make an "ACTIVE" tag for your threads. People have had too many issues with tags and are usually unable to delete tags they have added into a thread, so the active tag is more of a nuisance than anything.
5. Make sure that when you finish at thread that it's tagged "COMPLETED." Not done, not finished, not even complete. Completed.

Most of you have already taken care of this, so please don't worry if you've already done so. However! It is now an official rule that everyone must post their profiles (the application you sent in when you applied) in their userinfo. Because not everyone knows your character, and maybe not even your series.

As I said, many of you have already taken care of this, however there have been several who don't. So I ask those of you who have neglected to do so to pleeeeeease, pretty please, take some time to at least copy and paste your applications into your userinfo? If you don't have them anymore, drop me a line and I'll be happy to forward them to you (Paixao keeps all the applications! :D), so no worries about that.

Well, a few people seemed confused, so I thought I'd let this be known to all of you: I added a new question to the FAQ, regarding the posting rules in third person and first person threads. Remember, if you're stuck in a thread you're free to post in your character's journals or have AIM conversations as you like.

This is what it says:

Everyone knows that lumens are a huge part of Paixao. At least, they are supposed to be. The trouble is, they don't show up nearly as much as they are supposed so, and so I've come to a conclusion to make this post to let you guys know we really, really need more NPC players that are willing to do lumens.

In a perfect world, for every unanswered post, there is a lumen or pack of lumens that could wander in. Or they could show up at the most inopportune times for characters who are involved in a heated debate. Or hey, even when someone's thread is getting stale and it needs to be kicked up a notch. They possess infinite impossibilities, actually, because they are always available to be played and since there are so many you don't really have to wait to finish a thread where you're playing one to pop into a new one.

There are many, many, many sorts of lumens. The ones I like to draw most are the doggie ones, but there are also cats, birds, turtles, hell, there are bear-like ones and deer and things like that. Basically, if you want to make a species up, it's free game also. The more the merrier. The thing is, we just need people to play them!

I just redid the section on lumens today. Well, combined the two that I had written. You can find that here. Any questions or anything are welcome, as I want to make the guide as complete as possible to encourage people to play lumens.

If you wish to play a lumen, go ahead and sign up to be a part of the NPC player list, even if all you want to do is lumens! We really need to have people readily available a lot of the times to pop into threads and make Paixao exciting and stuff like it's supposed to be. Pleeeeeeeease?

Hello! Guess who? It's Ang.

Okay, Paixao needed some cleaning up, so I pretty much went and redid the entire extensive info. Well, there was a bit of re-writing, deleting, re-arranging, and the like, and I also seperated each section into a different post so it doesn't take too long to load. Needing a place to put all of this, I decided to store it in this journal here, paixaoguide. So you will always know where to find the info here!

This is going on the friend add list, so obviously is pretty important to watch. Who knows what else I'll end up putting here. Also, deleting the old contact info soon, fixing links on communities, and putting new stuff in all the community userinfos... yes! Paixao is on the way to a facelift!

Okay, I'm totally spamming up this place, aren't I? Hahaha.

Anyways, we were hanging out in Paixao OOC on AIM, and it was brought up the subject of doubles. Like, Kingdom Hearts and original game versions of characters. I've always gotten people asking me if it was allowed, but people have semed to say 'no' to it, though I've never asked in here regarding it before. However... since the subject has been brought up again and I, personally, find it a pretty fun plot device, I thought I'd get the insight of the players of Paixao on this subject, and maybe ask you guys to consider giving this idea a bit of a chance?

The two characters, despite being the "same person", would be pretty distinct- it's not hard to confuse Aerith and Aeris, or Leon and Squall, right? But I think it would be pretty fun to see the sorts of "issues" it creates in character... Paixao is a huge crossover world anyway, so there's bound to be a point in time where a "double" of someone gets sucked in, right? After all, the premise of Paixao even said, "...there is more than one physical body and more than one time connected to every heart." It would actually make sense for us to have those other versions! I had to make up reasons for them not to be here before, ones that I felt kinda didn't make sense, so...

In short, I want to know all of your opinions on this matter. Like I said, I think it would be a pretty fun idea. To me, the KH and FF characters, while one is based off of the other, are pretty different like, FF8 Seifer isn't a wigger. So I don't think having carbon copies running around would be an issue. But, I do believe the in character confusion would make for some really interesting plot devices! What would happen if Rinoa mistook Leon for Squall? Or FF7 Cloud saw Aerith? See? :3

So, now that I'm done rambling, here is a poll! While voting is good, I encourage you to provide some imput in a comment if you can, especially if you pick 'no'.

I know, I know. Every time I ask if we should change the banner, I get a bunch of NOEZ I LIKE IT'S and we end up keeping the same one. XD However, since we've had this thing up for a year, I'm wondering if it's about time we made some changes? (I, personally, am sick of looking at it, as I made it and think it's total crap now. D:) On the practical side, I've actually lost the original big-size banner and no longer have the .psd file, which does not enable me to make anymore matching headers (the ones used in the extensive info), if there is ever a need for one...

So, I figured, in... uh, light of Paixao's upcoming one year anniversary (!!!) on January 20, I'd give the place a face lift. I was playing with Photoshop and attempting to duplicate the old one, and thought, why don't we go all the way and just have something with new colors, too? And that is where I came up with this...



What do you think of it? I was trying to get the usual pink/yellow theme we have going but it was turning out really ugly looking, so... I dunno. Would it be okay to change our banners to that? I'm also gonna make a whole slew of 'rainbow' choices for people's userinfos, as well as tinier ones and such like we used to have... just curious, and need some imput. :O

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE WEATHERRRRR~!!!!!

As most of you know, the days are getting shorter, and the nights are getting longeeer! The same thing is happening in Paixao, and things are starting to get distinctly cold and rainy. From here on out, things will probably be no warmer than about 55 degrees Farenheit, actually. And it's only going to get worse! There will also be a lot of rain and other nasty stuff, perhaps hail. Hell, it might even start to snow once in a while. So everybody bundle up, hm~?

Just a friendly reminder!

Everyone should keep in mind Paixao is a serious RPG. And in serious games, the usual posting expectancy is about 3-4 lines at least for every comment (beginning posts will most likely be longer). You don't have to describe so much that we know what you're doing down to your second-from-the-last left toe, but we would like to get a clear picture of what your character is doing and thinking every single time you post. Single sentences are not acceptable, okay?

Basically, when you give me a quality sample post, I expect to recieve the same quality in every post you make henceforth in Paixao. If you're just going to show off for your application and then slack off the rest of the way... well, that's not acceptable. ^^; You wouldn't do that at a job, would you?

Regarding the use of tags...

WE ARE NO LONGER USING WEEK TAGS. We've deciding having any time constraints like that is way too troublesome, and with the days gone is a bit useless. The thread summaries will still happen, this has nothing to do with that. We're just not tagging things by days or weeks anymore, okay?

Secondly, EVERY TIME YOU USE AN NPC, TAG YOUR THREAD "NCPS". In addition to that, if there are Nobodies or Lumens in your thread, tad them with the name of the Nobody type or "lumens".

This is just a reminder that everyone should be UPDATING THEIR FRIEND LISTS REGULARLY! We've gotten a ton of new members and I still see a bunch not friended! So please go do that ASAP!
