Uh. So. LJ's last big update caused a lot of our links to tags to break, as they decided to change how they link tags, removing the + signs and changing it to just gaps. Thus the breakage. =3=

*edit* Nm. Looks like it's definitely gonna be permanent. Some sorta web compliance thing. =3= So gimmie few days to edit through everything. ...T_T

Hi guys. ^.^ It's Jen on Rozy journal...

Just a... request to please read/re-read the posting format for the main comm. XDa

I know people have their own styles of doing things and such, but it's getting to point of looking a bit messy, lol. Since the main comm is very much the "front page" of the game, it's nice if it least looks somewhat... cohesive? Organized? 8Da I don't want to chase after people or seem anal or anything a;osijda JUST... it would be MUCHO appreciated? :3 ♥

(Uh. Don't mind the info about backlogging etc. at the bottom... forgot that was down there... must edit. ...Since we've evolved to pretty freely hopping into multiple logs now.)

And secondly, people have been missing week tags a lot lately. ^^; I'll go back and try to tag stuff myself, but I might screw up what week logs happened in, so if some of you can least do it, it'd be also appreciated! Don't forget the "completed" tag too!

SO YES. That is all guys. /o/ Keep being awesome!

Hay guys!

SO. I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, and finally bit the bullet.

Let's go to a cut, cause this is going to be a sizable post... )

ALSO... Uh. Comm tags. Half of you use the week ones and uh... half don't. (I'm guilty even of forgetting it.) If we're going to use em', best to try to be consistent or something, ne? XD I am dubbing... later today, tag fixing day! Check your characters (by hitting their tag) logs for week and completed tags... if the log is complete.

I... didn't get to the lists. I'll work on that when I wake up, along with some other things I've noticed.

Edit: Ugh I'm awake... OKAY. SO. ...I'm gonna just put them up, and we'll go from there, cause I need em' on the comms now to tweak more. SO. YES. I hope you'll all enjoy the surprise of suddenly changed layouts. *A*b lulz

Okay, I've been trying to clean up the OOC's tags a bit (as best as I can do without being able to remove tags from threads, anyway), and I have narrowed a few superfluous tags down. I can't make you do anything, but it would be really good if from now on you could use these tags for the appropriate situations:

-Posts about the plot should go under the "plot" tag.
-Posts about hiatuses should go under the "hiatus notice" tag.
-Introductions of new members and characters should go under the "introduction" tag.
-Posts about new mods should go under the "new moderators" tag.
-Posts with polls should go under the "poll" tag.

Note that these have not been created yet, as I can't make tags in the OOC comm, but hopefully the mods will add them?

-Posts for rule changes should go under the "rule addendum" tag.
-Character or player drops should go under the "drop" tag.

I'll be going through tagging the older threads with no tags where I can. Please use them? Thanks! ♥

Can everyone pleeeease, pretty please make sure they tag stuff correctly? I've given the ability to create and edit tags to every single member of the community, so you don't have to pester a moderator to make one for you. HOWEVER, with this freedom comes the responsibility of making sure you do stuff correctly. I've noticed several errors popping up lately, so let's clarify!

1. Always use your character's FULL name.
2. Always format your character's name the way it would be formatted where they came from! (Japanese surnames go first, etc.).
3. Do not use underscores (_) or quotes (" ") in your tags!
4. Do not make an "ACTIVE" tag for your threads. People have had too many issues with tags and are usually unable to delete tags they have added into a thread, so the active tag is more of a nuisance than anything.
5. Make sure that when you finish at thread that it's tagged "COMPLETED." Not done, not finished, not even complete. Completed.

And I think that's all. Happy playing!

Remember guys, you have to add in the "completed" tag to a thread once it's done. The same goes for changing the [Active] to [Completed] in the subject/title. Make sure to post the finished thread over in the summary post as well. And while on the topic of tags, if your character doesn't have one for their name, please let one of the mods know so that we can make one. Okay?

Also, make sure that the current thread you're in is finished before moving on to another one. And if the thread really is complete, well... *points to part about making changes in the subject field* If not, things might get confusing and such.

Regarding the use of tags...

WE ARE NO LONGER USING WEEK TAGS. We've deciding having any time constraints like that is way too troublesome, and with the days gone is a bit useless. The thread summaries will still happen, this has nothing to do with that. We're just not tagging things by days or weeks anymore, okay?

Secondly, EVERY TIME YOU USE AN NPC, TAG YOUR THREAD "NCPS". In addition to that, if there are Nobodies or Lumens in your thread, tad them with the name of the Nobody type or "lumens".

Yay that's it. :3

Jack Sparrow-mun, are you still on hiatus? If you're not (or if you are and happen to see this), then are you still willing to have Jenet and Jack go out drinking at the Cheap Prayer? I currently have her sceneless, so now would be a good time to do that. :o

Would anybody want to scene with Yoruichi? The muse has been very quiet for a while now, but I want to try and get her into one more scene before I decide what to do with her. It'd have to be something more than just a "random encounter" thing though. (Bleach-muns?)

I also have an available Larxene. Any takers?

Now for the mod portion of this post...

Remember that you only need to put in [Active/Completed] in the subject of a thread, nothing else. Writing [Solo] isn't really necessary, you see. Also, remember to give your threads the appropriate tags such as "week2", names of all the characters involved, and name of the building if it's taking place inside any. You can also add the districts (Joutenheim, etc) but that one isn't as important. If your character doesn't have his/her own, tag, then let me know so that I can make one.

Once your thread is done, remember to post it here or else it won't be counted in the story!

And... that would be all. Yes.

REMOVAL OF THE "DAY" TAG
Kay guys, I've finally had a chance to look back on our poll concerning the usage of days in Paixao, and the majority seems to agree that they should no longer be used. So that means, from this point on, do not put day tags in your post! No more worrying about matching up the days, but remember that it's a good idea to stick in the same night, morning, afternoon, whatever time frame. ^^; You still must continue to tag all weeks, however, and we are on week2 currently.

I'm not sure what else to say on that matter... but if you have anymore questions on how it works, please, don't hesitate to ask. Excuse me, I'm kinda brain-dead at the moment.

THE STORYLINE
Some of you might have noticed Paixao slowing down a bit. Not within your individual storylines, but the huge plot we used to have going. You'll be happy to know that that is going to change very soon!

After we accept a few applications, we're going to start organizing and putting things back together. The Organization is being built up again, and hopefully we will be getting an awesome Xemnas NPCer very soon to help us run the show. :) I see great things in our future!

PLAYERS OF ORGANIZATION MEMBERS...
We're going to have an OOC Organization meeting soon, within the next week or so, I hope. We're going to discuss ideas and the such, and how to get the ball rolling in the game--and most importantly, how to stretch this storyline across the board as much as possible. Previously, many members felt the Organization's plot was a little isolated, and that isn't really what we want. ^^; Sooo... yes! Be prepared! Somehow.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure on the status of the festival as of yet, but I guarantee that we WILL be having one... eventually! I'm looking toward Halloween season.

DROPPED CHARACTERS
Lastly, these are the characters that are being removed from Paixao.

Allen Walker
Ashe
Hitachiin Hikaru
Hitachiin Kaoru
Kairi
Larxene
Spike Spiegel

...and the rest that had been on the list before are currently considered on hiatus. For reference, these are the characters:
Asuka Langley
Honda Tohru
Ivy Valentine
Kyoko Sohryu
Paine
Sha Gojyo
Yuna
EDIT: New additions to the hiatus list.
Desire
Jack Sparrow
Kuchiki Rukia
Tifa Lockhart
Yuki Eiri

You guys should at least reply for next month's activity check. ^^; Also, we are changing the rules a bit... there is now a hiatus limit, and that is going to be two months! That's about it.

Thanks~

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

Okay so, I was going through and adding a "before restart" tag to all the threads with characters who were restarting in them, just so people would be able to tell in the future to ignore that stuff, right? However, this led me to discover something very, very interesting.

Some of you don't need to restart. At all.

The original point of the restart was to provide a clean slate for people who were significantly effected by main Organization plot (including Anti X and the Savage Garden) or Ansem (including the Fortress of Darkness). The people who absolutely must restart, then, are all of the Organization, Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Namine. Everyone else, though,... well, in those cases, it gets pretty complicated. There are too many to make the transition a smooth one, and as you can see, each character that is restarted creates a ripple effect throughout the community.

Because of this, I'm going to discard the old restart list (except for the Org et al) and start a new one HERE, where you must APPLY for restart if you are not one of these characters.

Now, don't panic. There are several different types of "restarts" you can consider for your character.

First, those of you who want to completely restart your character. I am one of these people, in fact, since Kadaj was heavily involved in both the Ansem plot and the Organization plot. He only ever really spoke with Ashe and Trisana Chandler before those events occured, and that sort of thing can, hopefully, go missing from those two characters' memories with minimal fuss. If your character falls into this category, simply reply to this post saying so and provide proof in the form of threads that have gone on in which your character(s) was effected. Depending on the level of involvement, either Ang or I will approve your request or ask that you consider one of the other two options. If approved, though, either mark the threads your character was in previously as "before restart" yourself or request that the mods take care of it.

Those of you who simply wish to partially restart your character, that is to say, modify their history so that they did not meet any of the characters involved in the main plot/did not become involved themselves, your task is much easier. Simply comment here saying you wish to do so and link to the threads you wish to be marked as "before restart."

Lastly, those of you who wish to completely restart for reasons not linked to involvement in the main plot, please go back though your threads and see who you interacted with before you decide to do so. If there have been many people your character has interacted with that are not being changed themselves, you may want to consider having your character's current incarnation "go missing" and then entering him or her again as a new version through your assigned gate. This will give them a clean slate, provide for interesting interactions between characters you have met in the past should you encounter them again, as well as allow others to go about their business without having to restart themselves.

Yes, I know this is all sounds rather complicated. I will say, though, that my penchant for using entirely too many words to get the point across makes it seem a lot worse than it really is, but hopefully you can see past that and get the message of all this. If not, do not hesitate to reply to this entry with any and all questions you may have.

Here is the new list of restarting characters )

That is all. Thank you for your time~♥

We have a bit of a problem, as I'm sure some of you have noticed. When completing threads, it's customary to switch over from the "active" tag to the "completed" tag, right? Unfortunately, people are unable to delete the "active" tag once a thread is done, since only mods can do that... this is also the case with making mistakes on tags, like entering the wrong day or location or whatever, but those aren't as prevalent as the "active" issue. I mean, yes, it's helpful at times, but if I remember correctly, there was a point about solo threads that got included when it was proposed, and I haven't seen more people jumping on those than before the introduction of the "active" tag.

What am I getting at? Well, we could continue to run things the way they are, with active tags either becoming obsolete and just sitting there, or getting cleaned up by the mod of your choice (I spent some time last night doing just that, actually), or we can get rid of them entirely. Opinions?

sup homies, there are a few more things you need to take note of. the CONTACT LIST has been tweaked slightly, so go do the friends-add thing again!

ALSO, this is important, so listen up. the TAGS list has had quite a few additions. now, whenever you guys make a thread, you'll need to add the tag (DO NOT put it in that 'current location' slot, put it in the 'tags' slot) of the LOCATION (scroll down a little to see the locations list/descriptions) of your character or group. there is a tag for EVERY location, but you'll still need to specify what block the scene takes place in (ex; actua are F3, J7, or N8) on your own, in the 'SETTING' line-- you all had better know where that is by now, it's in that nifty format that you have to use anyway when you make a thread.

in addition to that, there is now an 'ACTIVE' tag, too, to go along with the completed one. SO, if your thread is active, use that, and once it's finished, change it to 'completed'. this is all to make things easier on you for tracking down threads and such.

I've also been asked to request that you ALL start tagging what day of the week your PERSONAL (CHARACTER) JOURNAL and MESSAGEBOARD entries are on. we've got characters who are, say, on thursday replying to posts that are made by characters on sunday. this would lessen the confusion, and would provide a sense of consistency. after all, what if your character becomes disabled or has their journal taken away on, let's say.. monday, but you've already accidentally posted a reply to another character's entry when they are on tuesday? see what I mean? I hope so, but please let me know if you still don't understand. or if you don't know how to add tags. you could possibly get away with just putting what day the entry was made on in the subject line, I'll have to check into that.

on a final note, you need to remember oreo's earlier post. BE ACTIVE. a lot of people have been starting to slack off over the past few weeks, some have clammed up entirely. if you're going to be absent or unable to post for any reason, tell the mods! and to you people with multiple characters-- USE THEM. I see quite a few who are straggling, so please get on the ball and be active with ALL your characters, or I'll send oreo to mess you up anti-style. NO EXCEPTIONS, especially if you haven't given any valid reason as to why you're inactive. I also think it's about high-time for another activity check, so you guys had better get moving before one of those pops up!

that was long. >:B ♥ AND HI NEW VICTIMS PEOPLE! WELCOME TO PAIXAO AND ALL THAT JAZZ, ILU~

*** EDIT ; from now on, when you guys make threads, plzzz use '[ACTIVE/COMPLETED]' in the subject lines instead of '[OPEN/CLOSED]'.. let's do that to avoid confusion and such. :B

everyone plz check the USERINFO, TAGS, and CONTACT LIST. it's been updated. :DDD let me know if anything is broken / misspelled / needs to be fixed in any way. also, let me know if I forgot to remove anyone.

so many bleach people K THAT'S ALL~

... >> I mean, lovely folks of Paixao. :D! So, we figured it would be a good idea to start tagging (yeah, I know, more tags) posts in the RP for which day they occur on, so people can more easily access what happened which day and so on. Convenient, eh? Also, ENTRANCES. Tag each entrance with which gate it's at so that we can have a running tally of who appears where.

So plz 2 b doing that some time. You know, soon. Otherwise I may have to chew on your spleeeeen. Or do it myself, whatever. Other mods also do this~ so we can get things more organized.

The pooowwweeerrrr... okay, done now.

There are now crack and mature tags for both [livejournal.com profile] paixaorpg and [livejournal.com profile] paixaoooc. Please use them to differenciate between non-canon things and mature themes in threads. Threads not marked properly will be deleted. Thanks!

Remember guys, use those tags! And keep them consistant please.

Also, for those who don't check the Weekly Events like they should (like myself) and for missing [completed] tags in the subject, there will be a nifty completed tag. I'll be in charge of this tag, so don't worry about that one, just try to have the character tags, please.

Usually you should be able to copy the list of characters who should be in the thread into the tag textarea, but if you're unsure of how you should enter the character's name, check the tags page (which will eventually be perma-linked somewhere).

Also! When a thread is finished, please put completed in the subject tags (name of post [open/closed]). A lot of the completed posts have 'closed' instead, while 'closed' in my mind makes me think that it's closed to characters who aren't listed on the original post. But then again, you guys should be posting finished threads here anyway, so it's more of a convienance to me (if anything). So if you don't put in that, just make sure you post your completed threads, which is a must anyway. ♥.

Of course, right now not all completed threads are labeled as so, since um... now I got busy. But they will be!

Keep this post in your memories as a reference? Original tag post

26 January 2006 @ 12:44 pm
A reminder!

Everyone who started a thread in [livejournal.com profile] paixaorpg PLEASE go back and add tags to it! Your tags should be your character's full name. Japanese names in Japanese order; i.e. Tamamura Tamao. If you can't add a tag, that means the name is missing... if that's so, let me know!

In the future, also please remember to tag every thread you make and update it accordingly to whom is present in the thread. Thank you!
