Just wanted to make a small note regarding the new thread we have for people dropping characters. I've added a link to the sidebar of paixaoooc, so now it will be easy to access for anyone who needs it. (Yeah, I know, maybe I shouldn't have made it TOO easy... Don't think I'm encouraging people to leave, because I'm not!)

Looks like several characters around Paixao are going to start to be kidnapped.

Once again it is time for Paixao to open up the moderator applications. This is due to the less activity on two out of four of the mods.

I'm sure that some of you are interested in becoming a mod and helping out! Zeth and I would really appreciate it as well. So the application is the same as before:

Fill that out, and send it to the mod's email at paixaorpg@gmail.com. This might be a given but please, please be honest for all of your answers. If you are losing interest in Paixao, please don't apply for a mod only to drop out after being accepted. If you are going on hiatus or will not be able to get much access to the Internet for extensive period of time, don't expect to be accepted either... (wow, I'm ranting) ANYWAY. THANKS GUYS!!

SO! As the title suggests, Paixao RPG will be putting a new rule for proposal! The first rule that me and Zeth are passing as mods alone, may I note with a bit of pride. Here's the official bit that Zeth wrote up:

When a player declares a hiatus, other players threading with that player may continue or leave the thread, if they so desire. Please note that this does not include short hiatuses of a week or less, such as if a player spends a weekend out of town, unless the player gives permission for the other characters to continue the thread in the meantime. This is intended to prevent multiple characters from getting stuck in threads with characters that are inactive for long periods of time, not to punish players for going on a camping trip or other short vacation. In addition, players going on extended hiatuses are encouraged to write their characters out of threads if possible, since this avoids the problem completely.

That's the complete rule. We'll probably shorten it or something for paixaoguide but the specifics are right there. We know that A LOT of people have been held up in threads... heck, I held up a couple people and still holding back one. But hopefully with the new rule in set, we'll be able to prevent future events like this. Any amendments should be left as a comment as Zeth one of the mods will fix up the rule. That's it for now.

Since all but one moderator is on hiatus, this is putting applications through an even SLOWER process than before. So, while I am still away from the game, I've decided I'm going to look at applications still, and vote on them, to keep things being processed. Additionally, and this is only temporary, only two votes are required for an application to be accepted.

So once at least two moderators have voted and it is unanimous, an application can be accepted. This applies to all apps in the box right now and all those we will receive, until at least two moderators come back from hiatus.

Staring right now, up until Monday, February 26, the entirety of Paixao will be affected by severe weather changes. What does this mean? Well, city is comprised of 4 main areas, and each one will have different weather. The center area will have a mix.

Also, keep in mind that the weather will not remain the same for these two weeks. The patterns will shift, but I'll make an announcement for when that happens.

Naturally, all journal posts and RP scenes that are made after this post will have to take the changed weather into consideration. Or if you'd like to work the change into your scene, then you're more than welcome to do so.

Well, since I know that this was probably explained poorly and in a convoluted way (sorry), feel free to point any errors or inconsistencies. Questions and such are also welcomed.

As all of you should know, Paixao is a rather large game and in addition to that, our moderators have limited time in their hands. Especially around this time. So it has come around to the point that "we" (who exactly shall be unnamed. for shame!) recruit at the very least, one more mod for the RPG. Which is exactly why I, once again, plagiarize take a previous post and erm. Do stuff. Yeah. Anyhow!

REGARDING THREAD SUMMARIES, it has been decided that the post is not helpful not to mention it takes forever to load, and that many members do not read the summaries--- it is now ABOLISHED. There is no need to post of there. Okay people? Good.

6. Regardless of your character’s origin and native tongue, the common language used for RP scenes and journal entries will be English. However if your character is ICly fluent in more than one language, and you wish have him/her speak in said language as a way to protect valuable information, then you can do so. You’re also going to have to provide an English translation and put it as an OOC comment at the end the post/comment so that others know what you just said.

If your character was born and raised in a country that didn’t have English as its native language, then they may still use traces of it in their speech, such as honorifics, but only in small amounts. This won’t apply if they simply have voiceovers done in a different language though, as is the case in video games and anime.

November 14th: End of the "Nobody Attack" plot. To any new members or if you've been living under a rock this past month check out the newest couple of posts over here.

When dropping characters, we would appreciate it if you had their journals leave the communities as well. We wish to have our "Members" list for all the communities remain as up-to-date as possible, and while a moderator will periodically clean up said lists, there's no telling when one of us will actually around to doing so. Especially for the OOC community, which has a larger amount of members (along with mun journals) than the others ones and is harder to keep maintained.

Unless stated otherwise in their leaving posts, all dropped characters can have a maximum period of one week to wrap up any threads they might've been in when they left. Just let us know so that we don't accidentally remove your character(s) from the RP community.

Those of you who were here the first time this was attempted should already know what I'm talking about. For the others, allow me to explain...

The Paixao Awards was originally an idea thought by a former member (session) as a way to lighten the mood and provide some fun during a rough time in the RP. Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, it never got past the actual voting period, and the event ended up being scrapped entirely.

A lot of time has passed since then, and I know that some of the members (including myself) would always wonder about who would win the different categories. So I thought about reviving the Paixao Awards, and here they are.

I'm bored and wondering random things. It donned on me that sometimes the appearance of games is a very important element to making it enjoyable, and also that Paixao's paid account time is running out AGAIN... and I'm not sure what to do about it; we might be able to take a different route than begging the members to pay for the game's prettyiness. XD I feel there might be some need for change, although I'm not sure in what areas. And who better to ask than my fellow Paixaoans, it's own residents? ;)

Alright. About two days ago we decided it would be best if Paixao closed applications to characters from fandoms that were not on our list already. This is because we were running into a lot of trouble with dealing with applications for fandoms we didn't know too well, plus with the lack of moderators it's sort of difficult to handle them in general.

Well, I've decided it'd be best if we closed our applications to ALL characters except those from Kingdom Hearts (this includes any and all Disney characters, by the way), due to our sudden... um, lapse. Before anything, we really need those characters, especially members of the Organization. I'm going to be readvertising in some communities soon so we can regain what we lost.

Sooo, please, hold off on all of your other applications, unless you wanna tackle someone from there. :)

MODERATORS NEEDED!

Hello everyone. Yes, yes, it's me. I'm not entirely back from my "break" yet (no characters) but I think it would be foolish of me to just packup and leave all together. This is my game after all, eh? :) So I'm still here as a mod (starting to become a bit in-and-out myself).

That aside, Paixao is obviously in dire need of some moderators, what with us being down to two. Ahhh, I remember when that was just enough to get by. But now that the game is so big it's a little hard to do! So, yes, we're looking for some people to help out. This time around, though, we have an application. Please don't be afraid of it-- it's just, all the people who I had moderated before were close friends and so I could judge their skills properly, but I need this to get to know you!

And also... please don't feel afraid or too inferior to apply. We need all the help we can get, really, and-- well, you're probably your worst critic. I know (or at least I hope I do) that some people had always wanted to help out here, so... now is your chance! If Paixao is going to stay alive, we REALLY need some more mods!

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

Okay so, I was going through and adding a "before restart" tag to all the threads with characters who were restarting in them, just so people would be able to tell in the future to ignore that stuff, right? However, this led me to discover something very, very interesting.

Some of you don't need to restart. At all.

The original point of the restart was to provide a clean slate for people who were significantly effected by main Organization plot (including Anti X and the Savage Garden) or Ansem (including the Fortress of Darkness). The people who absolutely must restart, then, are all of the Organization, Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Namine. Everyone else, though,... well, in those cases, it gets pretty complicated. There are too many to make the transition a smooth one, and as you can see, each character that is restarted creates a ripple effect throughout the community.

Because of this, I'm going to discard the old restart list (except for the Org et al) and start a new one HERE, where you must APPLY for restart if you are not one of these characters.

Now, don't panic. There are several different types of "restarts" you can consider for your character.

First, those of you who want to completely restart your character. I am one of these people, in fact, since Kadaj was heavily involved in both the Ansem plot and the Organization plot. He only ever really spoke with Ashe and Trisana Chandler before those events occured, and that sort of thing can, hopefully, go missing from those two characters' memories with minimal fuss. If your character falls into this category, simply reply to this post saying so and provide proof in the form of threads that have gone on in which your character(s) was effected. Depending on the level of involvement, either Ang or I will approve your request or ask that you consider one of the other two options. If approved, though, either mark the threads your character was in previously as "before restart" yourself or request that the mods take care of it.

Those of you who simply wish to partially restart your character, that is to say, modify their history so that they did not meet any of the characters involved in the main plot/did not become involved themselves, your task is much easier. Simply comment here saying you wish to do so and link to the threads you wish to be marked as "before restart."

Lastly, those of you who wish to completely restart for reasons not linked to involvement in the main plot, please go back though your threads and see who you interacted with before you decide to do so. If there have been many people your character has interacted with that are not being changed themselves, you may want to consider having your character's current incarnation "go missing" and then entering him or her again as a new version through your assigned gate. This will give them a clean slate, provide for interesting interactions between characters you have met in the past should you encounter them again, as well as allow others to go about their business without having to restart themselves.

Yes, I know this is all sounds rather complicated. I will say, though, that my penchant for using entirely too many words to get the point across makes it seem a lot worse than it really is, but hopefully you can see past that and get the message of all this. If not, do not hesitate to reply to this entry with any and all questions you may have.
